Day Trader

Is it socially difficult to be a Day Trader?
To all Day Traders out there, since majority of the people in the world are talking about getting a job, work for money…is it really difficult to find someone who really support what you do at home for a living? I, for one, believe that trading is a smart way to obtain independence since you all do not have to slave for money. However, it is quite difficult to just swing away what others are talking about and do your trades. Does your family morally support you? how about your boyfriend/girlfriends? Thanks.
The problem you’re referring to isn’t about the trader, it’s about people who are NOT traders. They mean little-to-nothing to me in terms of approval as I know they lack the capacity to understand. All that matters is that I make out in my chosen profession and I love every day of it, even when I come up red in face and wallet. No big deal for every year is a profitable one.
When I meet people and am questioned as to how I could do as I do for a living, I tell them that maybe I like torture by losing money daily. They turn their heads like parakeets do and usually say something like: “Nuh-uh—I have a feeling you do pretty well.”
My sense is that they’d gladly trade what they do for what I do because my days are filled with excitement and self-directed results, both good and. They see I make no effort to drop what I do and recognize I’m perfectly happy with my work and myself.
Everyone I know supports me in what I do because what I do supports me! They respect that I do well and especially that I’ve enriched them through my financial guidance. I’ve raised children, bought homes, lived debt-free and slept well night after night without concern for bills. Life could not be better in my opinion except for lack of a soul mate. And I’ve helped many others on their own journey towards financial independence.
My advice would be for you to ask yourself how important the opinions of others are in your self assessment of things you arrange for you. And then try to determine the role of outside approval.

Moondance $5.42 Van Morrison went a long way towards defining his wild Irish heart with his first two classic albums: the brooding, introspective Astral Weeks (1968), and the expansive, swinging Moondance. If the first was the work of a poet, its sequel was the statement of a musician and bandleader. Moondance is that rare rock album where the band has buffed the arrangements to perfection, and where the sax solo… |

Sesame Street: 40 Years of Sunny Days $20.11 Sesame Street has been educating and entertaining kids for 40 years. But the kind of TV programming for children that we currently take for granted didn’t exist until Joan Ganz Cooney and Lloyd Morrisett dreamed up the concept of curriculum-based, educational children’s television in the late 1960s. By 1969, lots of research, consultation with educators, and testing had culminated in Sesame Street… |

Titanic [VHS] $4.25 When the theatrical release of James Cameron’s Titanic was delayed from July to December of 1997, media pundits speculated that Cameron’s $200 million disaster epic would cause the director’s downfall, signal the end of the blockbuster era, and sink Paramount Studios as quickly as the ill-fated luxury liner had sunk on that fateful night of April 14, 1912. Some studio executives were confident, ot… |
